A weekly Irish music session is held in Tir na nOg in Raleigh each Sunday. The beginner lesson is held from 3-4pm where a tune is taught by hear. A slow jam runs from 4-5pm where tunes learned at the session are played. From 5 on anything goes. Check out their web site at http://www.nogirishsession.com for more information.
A weekly Irish music session is held in Price Music Building, Room 110, at North Carolina State University on Wednesdays, 4:00-5:30pm. All musicians are welcome, from the community and NCSU campus. Price Music Building is located next to Talley Student Center on Cates Avenue (see map at http://www.ncsu.edu/campus_map/central.htm , building #104) with public parking in the Coliseum Parking Deck (map, building #99).
The Pinecone Beginners Irish Session is no longer being held. Music that was presented at the session is still available at the links below


These new tunes are included in the Session Tune Book 2 above and are the tunes that have been taught at the session since Session Tune Book 1 was produced.
The Red Oak Brew Pub session is held the last Sunday of the month at 4:00pm until 7:00pm for Trad Irish music. Red Oak Brew Pub is located at 714 Francis King St., Greensboro, NC.
The Foothills Brewery session is held the first Sunday of the month from 4:00-6:00pm. Foothills Brewery is located at 638 West Forth St, Winston-Salem, NC.
The Claddagh Restaurant & Pub Session is held the third Sunday of the month at 4:30pm until ???. Claddagh Restaurant & Pub is located at 130 E. Parris Ave., High Point, NC.
